How do I start doing business with KORE Telematics?
We have Sales Development Managers throughout North America to help you start your relationship with KORE. These individuals are experienced wireless professionals who will ensure the right program is selected to meet your business needs.
Does KORE’s service work outside of North America?
Yes. KORE services, including our GPRS APN’s and SMS Short Codes work in most international destinations that support GSM networks. KORE CDMA service provides coverage throughout North America.
Does KORE provide SIM cards?
Yes. KORE provides SIM cards specific to your market and needs, for GSM services.
Does KORE sell devices and radios?
No. We are 100% independent in this area. As an M2M expert, KORE works closely with the device and radio vendors to facilitate your deployments and has formal technical support and co-marketing programs with most leading suppliers. However, we do not sell these products.
Can I send SMS messages from my application to a device using KORE’s services?
Yes. Using KORE’s SMS Gateway service with a Short Code or Virtual Number , you can send and receive SMS messages between your application and devices.
Can I send SMS message to devices on networks other than KORE’s?
Yes. KORE SIMs can send and receive SMS messages to and from third party networks. If you require your application to generate messages to and from third party networks, the KORE Inter-Carrier Message Service will allow you to do this.
Will EDGE work with my current radio?
If you are currently using a GPRS radio then no, you will not have access to the EDGE network. You require an EDGE capable radio device for this. However, your existing KORE SIM cards will support either GPRS or EDGE service depending upon your devices' capabilities in the USA, Canada and a number of roaming markets.
What happen if I use an EV-DO device and I am out of EV-DO coverage?
If you have access to the CDMA network, your device will automatically "fall back" to support the lower 1xRTT data service, albeit at lower speed. Your use and billing for service is unaffected.
How do I obtain support from KORE after I start using your services?
KORE’s support team can be accessed by email, phone, fax or by creating your own trouble tickets directly into our PRISM™ Web Portal. KORE also provides a 24/7 after hours messaging service making our technical representatives available in the event of an emergency situation.
