As part of any recruitment process, KORE collects and processes personal data related to all job applicants. KORE is committed to privacy and being transparent about how we will collect, use and protect your data.
KORE collects a range of information about applicants during the recruitment process. This data may include:
KORE may collect this information in a variety of ways, including online (Jobvite) applicant forms, resumes (CVs), identify documents, assessments and interviews (telephone, video & in-person).
We will also seek information from third parties, such as references provided, only once a job offer to you has been made and KORE will inform you that we are doing so.
KORE will store this data online (Jobvite), in recruitment & Human Resource (HR) management systems and on other KORE secured Information Technology systems, including email.
As part of the recruitment process, KORE will need to process your data in order to take the necessary steps. In addition, if you are successful in your application for employment with KORE, we may also need to further process your data.
Based on the country to which you are applying, we may need to process data to ensure that we are complying with our legal obligations for that country.
KORE will process your personal data during the recruitment process, allowing us to manage the process, assess & validate a candidate’s suitability for employment and determine to whom to offer a job. In addition, KORE will keep records of this process, should KORE need to respond to/defend legal claims.
During the process, KORE may also collect some sensitive personal data about you, for example, disability and ethnic origin. We do this in order to make reasonable adjustments to enable our candidates to apply for jobs with us, to prepare for starting at KORE (if successful), and ensure that we comply with all regulatory obligations and diversity in recruitment.
If your application is unsuccessful, KORE may keep your personal data on file in case there are future employment opportunities for which you may be suited. Prior to keeping your data for this purpose, KORE will ask for your consent and you may withdraw your consent at any time.
KORE is a global company; processing and storing information in many countries, including countries outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). KORE has ensured that adequate safeguards are in place to protect your personal information, regardless of the global location. This includes the following items of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
For the purposes of the recruitment, your information may be shared internally at KORE. This includes members of the HR Team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy and IT Staff, only if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.
KORE will not share your data with third parties, unless your application for employment is successful and we make you an offer of employment. At that point, we will share your data with former employers to obtain references for you. We may also share your information with third party suppliers who will carry out pre-employment screening on the behalf of KORE. We will always ask for your consent before processing this type of data as part of the pre-employment screening.
KORE takes the security of your data and your privacy seriously. We have internal policies and controls in place in order to ensure that your data is not lost, accidentally deleted, misused or disclosed, and is not accessed except by our approved employees or authorized third parties, in the proper performance of their roles.
If your application for employment is unsuccessful, and with your consent, KORE will hold your data on file for two years after the end of the relevant recruitment process for consideration for future employment opportunities. At the end of the period, or once you withdraw your consent, your data will be deleted and/or destroyed. KORE will ask for your consent to hold your details, when you submit your resume (CV) or application, in order for you to be considered for other suitable positions if they arise.
If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your HR file (electronic & paper based) and retained during the period of your employment and, in some circumstances, afterwards. The periods for which your data will be held should you become an employee will be provided to you in the KORE Privacy Notice for Employees.
