Introducing:

Dan Cebula serves as the Vice President for Connected Health at KORE. With over 19 years of experience in the wireless technology space, Dan specializes in helping healthcare organizations – specifically those in the mPERS and Remote Patient Monitoring space, offering a suite of device and connectivity enablement solutions that provide the features companies need without adding complexity during initial deployments or ongoing operations.

Prior to becoming VP of Connected Health, Dan also served as the Senior Director of Business Development and the National Account Manager for KORE where he helped customers achieve success in deploying, managing, and scaling their IoT solutions. He studied at the University of Cincinnati with a focus on Organizational Leadership.

Q: How did you get started in this industry?
A:
I began my career in wireless nearly 19 years ago at Verizon. Starting out in their retail channel and working upwards through there b2b sales organization, supporting enterprise customers and discovering my passion for IoT. After helping to bring several IoT solutions from concept to production, I transitioned to a pure play IoT start-up called Jazz Wireless. In 2014, Jazz was acquired by KORE, and I’ve been here ever since!

Q: What does a typical morning look like for you?
A:
Mornings can look different depending on if I’m on the road or home with my family. If I’m traveling, mornings tend to start very early; at least 4:00 am to get anywhere from Cincinnati. If I’m home, I usually wake up around 6:30 to be with my kids and help my wife get them off to school. By 7:30, I’ve got coffee in hand and I’m responding to emails.

Q: Speaking of coffee, what is your go-to coffee order?
A:
At home, usually iced, but on the road it’s 2 shots of espresso to get the day started.

Q: What’s a common misconception of the IoT space?
A:
That its easy! There are challenges, roadblocks, and unfortunately misinformation that solution providers must navigate. It’s why being a trusted advisor and helping to bring together each element of a solution, outside of our customer’s core competencies, is so important and crucial to reaching scalable success.

Q: How would your friends and family describe you?
A:
Hardworking, generous, fun-loving dad, coach, & husband who is always willing to lend a helping hand and only a little obsessed with CrossFit…

Q: Finally, what’s the best career advice you’ve ever heard?
A:
“Focus on the controllable.” It’s easy to get distracted with what’s not working. Stay focused on the task at hand and all the small stuff will eventually work itself out.
