Overview

KORE Connected Health works with healthcare and life sciences IoT solution providers to bring critical solutions to market. KORE offers services in hardware procurement, connectivity, forward and reverse logistics, staging and kitting, regulatory compliance and data telemetry.

Remote patient monitoring (RPM) applications are dependent on easy-to-use hardware that is readily available and has a long lifecycle to avoid high costs and obsolescence.

To help mitigate these pain points in providing hardware to its connected health customers, KORE has a long-standing hardware relationship with JACS Solutions, a global provider of custom mobility solutions for industrial and enterprise applications. JACS Solutions is nimble and agile in providing connected, smart devices to KORE customers of all sizes.

The Challenge

KORE and JACS Solutions have developed a trusted, long-standing relationship with each providing strong service and solution offers that simplify the complexities of IoT.

For KORE, one of the primary hardware elements it offers its connected health customers is a USB modem that plugs into at-home cardiac rhythm monitoring devices to enable cellular connectivity.

Remote cardiac rhythm monitoring solutions connect patients to healthcare providers through secure data transmission of biometric readings. Patients can be monitored by healthcare professionals from their own homes to support quality of life and reduce the need for in-patient visits, while also mitigating hospital re-admissions.

OEM devices have limited shelf lives, which can lead to integration issues and continuity of services. For JACS Solutions, when their customers purchase hardware but need services such as connectivity; connectivity management; network monitoring, lifecycle management; or forward and reverse logistics they turn to KORE.

IoT solutions are comprised of many moving parts in order to work seamlessly, securely, without interruptions, and while managing costs and usage.

The Solution

For KORE, working with a nimble OEM creates agility in providing end-to-end solutions to customers. When working directly with OEMs, it’s not uncommon to have issues with lead time or end-of-life issues. Having a strong and transparent collaboration with a reliable OEM that understands patient needs helps overcome this challenge. And JACS values KORE as an IoT expert with solutions and services in connectivity and connectivity management, security, and network monitoring, as well as a full suite of managed services, including regulatory compliance, logistics, lifecycle management, and more.

The Result

The trusted relationship with JACS Solutions helps KORE be more agile and mitigate some of the more common issues with the larger OEMs, including mitigating supply chain issues. By having an expert hardware relationship with JACS Solutions, KORE helps customers keep the hardware component of their IoT solutions simple, easier to scale and expand, and accelerates deployment by cutting through a fragmented ecosystem of partners.

JACS Solutions prides itself in creating reliable, efficient hardware that is more secure and less at risk to vulnerabilities compared to off-the-shelf, consumer-grade products.

In turn, KORE can provide JACS Solutions customers with its full suite of IoT enablement services, covering the seven key areas of successful IoT deployments:

  • IoT Strategy and End-to-End Security so that solutions are built securely and for lasting success and ROI.
  • Technology Evaluation, Selection, and Development to create a purpose-built infrastructure designed to scale.
  • Connectivity, Device, and Data Management for connectivity management that unifies IoT endpoints.
  • Deployment (Forward Logistics) to help speed time-to-market with comprehensive services.
  • Operations Management and Support to keep IoT solutions running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Sustainment (Reverse Logistics) to mitigate endpoint issues through support services and end-of-lifecycle management.
  • Analysis and Artificial Intelligence IoT (AIoT) for data aggregation, cleansing, normalizing, and analysis.
